Palermo East Coast Bike Experience

The bike excursion begins with the meeting of participants and departure from Palermo, following a coastal route on paved roads (and bike paths where available). The first stop is the Libero Grassi Park, located on the 'mammellone', an area with a history linked to the 'Sacco di Palermo'. Continuing east, you reach the seafront of Ficarazzi and the fishing village of Aspra, where a visit to the Anchovy and Maritime Arts Museum is planned. Next, you cycle towards Bagheria, famous for its 19th-century villas, including Villa Palagonia (known as the Villa of Monsters). In Bagheria, a tasting of Sfincione Bagherese is included. The itinerary continues to the fishing village of Porticello, passing through the port and Santa Nicolicchia. Before returning to Palermo, a photo stop at the Capo Zafferano Lighthouse is planned. The return to Palermo is by bike along the coastal road.

Meeting with participants, setting up bicycles, and departure towards the borders of the city of Palermo. The initial itinerary develops along the coast, on a paved road open to vehicular traffic (where possible, we will use bike paths).
