Overview
A naturalistic and volcanological excursion, discovering the volcanic eruptions that have characterized the southern slope of Mount Etna. The route develops in the southern part of the Etna territory, starting at an altitude of about 1900 m, with a meeting point at the Bar/restaurant Esagonal, adjacent to the starting station of the Etna South cable car. This medium-difficulty excursion will take us through the eruptions of 1766, 1892, and 2001.
