Overview

‘Discovering Scuba Diving’ is an introductory experience designed for people who want to try scuba diving for the first time, without having to complete a full scuba certification course. Here's what you can expect from this experience: Initial briefing: The experience begins with a detailed briefing from a certified diving instructor. During the briefing, the basics of scuba diving will be explained, including hand signals used underwater, breathing techniques and handling of scuba equipment. Equipment Preparation: The instructor will guide you in preparing and checking your diving equipment, which includes your wetsuit, buoyancy compensator (BCD), regulator, compressed air tank, fins and mask. Confined water exercises: Before diving in open water, some basic exercises are practiced in an area of shallow water. These exercises include practicing breathing underwater, clearing your mask, retrieving your regulator, and managing your buoyancy. Open Water Diving: Once you feel comfortable with the basic equipment and techniques, you move on to open water diving, usually in a controlled environment such as a shallow bay or calm lake. During this dive, you will always be closely accompanied by the instructor, who will ensure your safety and help you explore the underwater environment. Final Certification: After the dive, there will be a debriefing during which we will discuss the experience, answer any questions and provide suggestions for improving your diving skills.
