Overview
Right at the site of the Sarcophagus discovery, you can taste a glass of Alberi in Piano 2013, awarded a Platinum medal at the DWWA as the best red wine from Southern Italy, paired with durum wheat bread and 'Alberi in Piano' wine mustard and caciocavallo podolico. The sensory journey will continue in the vineyard where you can taste a glass of 'Alberi in Piano' 2014, which has won 5 medals worldwide, including a gold medal at the Merano Wine Hunter, paired with tarallini and typical Lucanian sausage. Finally, in the shepherds' room, where they worked the milk from sheep to make high-quality pecorino cheese in the early 1900s, you will taste the third glass, which will be 'Alberi in Piano' DOCG 2019, also multi-awarded, including a gold medal with a score of 95 at the DWWA, paired with a crostino with 'Alberi in Piano' fruit jelly and pecorino cheese. Background music will accompany the tasting, completing the five senses.
