* Women should dress appropriately and respectfully for the religious environment by covering shoulders and knees inside the church * preferably, large backpacks or luggage should not be brought during the visit (both in the basilica and the doge's palace) as they will need to be left in designated containers outside the monument (and for the basilica, a fee will be charged for storage).
