Mountain Bike Experience at Pizzo Manolfo

A mountain bike excursion to discover the Conca d'Oro, crossing the Parco della Favorita and the integral nature reserve of Grotta Conza. Stunning scenery and beautiful views of the Gulf of Palermo and Carini along the dirt paths that traverse the Mediterranean scrub in the area of Pizzo Manolfo and Raffo Rosso. Leaving the city, we will cross the Parco della Favorita, the green lung of the city, on the official cyclocross route that winds through the woods, allowing stops at the Grotta di Niscemi and the Royal Stables. Descent along the dirt path Landolina, which runs along the southern slopes of Monte Pallegrino, offering splendid views of the Gulf of Mondello. Continuing on paved roads towards Tommaso Natale to enter the Integral Nature Reserve of Grotta Conza and begin the ascent to Pizzo Manolfo: a gaze at the rugged and characteristic landscape of the Palermo mountains—partially shaped by centuries of human work—where the limestone rocks take on a varied coloration from gray to pink and rust. Upon request, it will be possible to visit the Grotta di Conza, at the foot of a vertical wall surrounded by ash and carob trees. At the end of the ascent, a refreshing stop at the characteristic restaurant 'Zu Caliddu' to taste a typical dish of Palermo's street food. We will resume the paved provincial road that, with a gentle descent, will take us back to Palermo.
